YOM Provides over 2500 meals for Food Lifeline
Posted by YOM Staff
Food Lifeline's core work is capturing good food and providing it to food banks, meal programs and shelters; and they are Western Washington’s source of research, data and ideas on hunger issues. Food Frenzy is a fundraising competition. For the last 28 years during two weeks in July, over 100 local businesses participate in a creative competition to raise funds, collect food donations and volunteer, with all proceeds going to Food Lifeline. Food Frenzy means food for kids. Every dollar donated to Food Lifeline provides five meals. Summer is especially hard when school is out and school meals aren’t available. YOM is grateful for the work Food Lifeline does and is honored to provided over 2500 meals to hungry children in Washington State.
